Nutrition Services

Nutrition Links

If you've ever searched the web information about a nutrition-related topic, you know that there is an endless array of information available. While there is a great deal of reliable information out there, unfortunately, there is also a great deal of bogus information that is not supported by current health and nutrition research. Here are some tips to help you evaluate the quality of websites:

  1. Know who is sponsoring or authoring the web page. Many Internet sites are simply designed to sell products - articles and other information on the site can be skewed to promote their products. Web addresses ending in .org or .gov are typically more reliable than .com sites.
  2. Review the authors' credentials and references. Does the author have a degree in the field they are addressing? Does he or she list credible references, such as research studies from well-known scientific journals? If not, be wary of the information presented.

The sites listed here provide well-researched information that is presented by experts in health and nutrition. Check them out!
